Con Summary and other things
I watched a little bit of 2 Anime at the con that I like. This first one is fresh from Japan, Kin-iro no Corda 金色のコルダ ~primo passo~. I have only watched 1 episode of it and I liked it a lot already. It in some way similar to Utena. *Sigh* another good brand new anime. It is going to be a trouble to get a hold of it. The second one is Rosen Maiden. It is a bit odd, but it is pretty good.

Went to the Masquerade Ball. It is actually pretty good, but I didn't really enjoy it due to backache and having no dance partner. Anime North had been a weekend full of backache due to long line ups and too much walking in less than comfortable shoes. That's the really downside of the con, but other than that, everything is good. I've got a picture from masquerade ball, with me wearing my yukata and my mask. I'm supposed to be getting a digital file, so when I get it, I'll post the picture up. I had the mask on, so I wouldn't mind posting the picture up on internet *laughs* You don't see my eyes because of the mask, but I actually did pretty good eye make up and make up overall. Consider how rarely I wear make up, it was probably the best I have ever done.

The experience at Doubletree Hotel during the con was unsatisfactory. First of all, they made a big boo-boo. They gave me a room that wasn't supposed to be mine, but the one I selected online was subjected to change so I didn't know. When I got checked in, unload my stuff, went out to the con and come back to change shoes, my key card didn't work anymore and I heard people talking in my room. They gave another group of 4 people my room so they too checked in and took over my room. So I got in and spoke to the group of 4 con-goers, which was pretty nice, and went down to the check-in counter to sort thing out. Turned out they have me booked another room in the executive floor, which was what I originally selected. So I packed and moved to a better room. The hotel was actually a bit old. For some reason, the air-conditioning doesn't seem to be working that well and the weekend was fairly hot. The thermostat was set quite low, but no matter how low you set it, it didn't seem to be able to get below 26C, which made me woke up in sweat after only 1.5 hours of sleep and had trouble getting back to sleep. On top of that, the bed wasn't comfortable ;_; It was too soft and not supporting my back, which contributed to the weekend of back pain. As what I said every year, the Renaissance Hotel is much better and much newer. If the con wasn't held at Doubletree, I would have picked Renaissance. I would seriously consider Renaissance again next year. Not able to get enough sleep during the con was really bad.

I finally got a hold of the Utena Sega Saturn game after so many years. Members of the Utena forum worked together to pull the game off the discs to make it available to play on the computer. Before that, you basically can't play it without buying both the Sega Saturn console and the game. Now a member is also doing the translations and one of these days we might be able to turn it into an English game. If anyone really really loves to play this game and couldn't before, contact me and I'll point you to the right direction.

Last but not least, my husband is back. He went away for 2 and 1/2 weeks to Hong Kong. I missed him a lot. *blows a kiss to hubby* <3 ^_~
